Dengue fever is a disease caused by a family of viruses that are transmitted by Aedesaegypti mosquito that has previously bitten an infected person. After being bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus. The incubation period ranges from 3 to 15 (usually five to eight) days before the signs and symptoms of dengue appear in stages. Dengue starts with chills, headache, pain upon moving the eyes, and low backache. Painful aching in the legs and joints occurs during the first hours of illness. The temperature rises quickly as high as 104 F (40 C), with relatively low heart rate (bradycardia) and low blood pressure (hypotension). The eyes become reddened. A flushing or pale pink rash comes over the face and then disappears. The glands (lymph nodes) in the neck and groin are often swollen. Fever and other signs of dengue last for two to four days, followed by a rapid drop in body temperature with profuse sweating. This precedes a period with normal temperature and a sense of well-being that lasts about a day. A second rapid rise in temperature follows. A characteristic rash appears along with the fever and spreads from the extremities to cover the entire body except the face. The palms and soles may be bright red and swollen.

So, Disease Dengue manifestation is taking place very quickly, more over depletion of the platelet count taking place very rapidly. There is no proper medicine and vaccination in other system of medicine. By the clinical experience with different patients of Dengue, we observed that Balaguduchyadi Kashaya as an Anubhutha Yoga with honey is very much effective in the treatment for Dengue Fever. Moreover it is bitten and transmitted by the mosquitos there is a very much easier chance to spared in their own family member and there surrounding members. So if there the disease dengue is suspected we advise to take Balaguduchyadi Kashaya for the every person of their surroundings.

Methods:-

Patient of all the age group should be selected with all the signs & symptoms of Dengue and the mainly we are selected the patients according to the less platelet counts. Exclude the patients in dengue hemarregic condition to avoid the risk.

Balaguduchyadi Q churna should be made into kashaya mixed with the honey then advised to drink 15ml every 45min once for the dengue fever sufferers.

For the non-dengue person the similar kashaya should be advised as per the kashaya dose i.e 2 times before food up to 21 days.

Ayurvedic Mediation:-

Line of Treatment:- Tikta, Madhura Rasa, Sheetha Veerya, Pitta Hara, Daha Prashamana, Jwara Hara, Vedana Stapana, Dipana, Pachana, Balya, Rasayana Drug Should be Selected.

So, Balaguduchyadi Q as anubhuta yoga is the drug of choice for Dengue fever.

Balaguduchyadi Kashaya :-

Method of preparation of kashaya:-

            Take 1 part of Kashaya churna add 4 parts of water then reduced it into 1/4^th allow it for swangasheeta.

Dose:-

Balaguduchyadi Q churna should be made into kashaya mixed with the honey then advised to drink 10 - 15ml every 45min once (Muhurtha Kala) for the dengue fever sufferers. Upto platelet counts become normal range (5 to 7 days) then only 2 times up to 15days for immunize.

For the non-dengue person the similar kashaya should be advised 10 – 15 ml kashaya,  2 times before food up to 21 days.

Pt name aged 27 years C/O uncontrolled fever, fatigue, pain all over the body, tiredness, once gone unconscious since 10 days.

           Previously treatment taken with Dr.ramakanth MBBS.MD cutis hospital bangalore.

On investigation:-

Platelet count:- 39,000 cells/cu.mm

Treatment given:-

Advice:- Continue the Balaguduchyadi Q churna should be made into kashaya mixed with the honey then advised to drink 15ml every 4 hourly once for 21days.

Case 3:-

Pt name gouthami aged 6 years C/O uncontrolled fever, fatigue, pain all over the body, tiredness, since 5 days.

Previously treatment taken with Dr.mahesh MBBS.MD (paedia) venkateswara hospital Jagalur.&shreematha hospital Davanagere. Platelet count goes on decreased since 3days upto 116000

On investigation:-

Platelet count:- 1,32,000 cells/cu.mm

Treatment given:-

After 26 hours fever, fatigue, pain all over the body, tiredness & other symptoms are decreased.

Continue the Balaguduchyadi Q churna should be made into kashaya mixed with the honey then advised to drink 15ml every 4 hourly once for 21days.

Result:-

            In the dengue fever platelet count goes on decreases by the clinical study we observed that balaguduchyadi Q as an anubhuthayoga 15ml with honey every muhurthakala (45min) all the symptoms of dengue fever are reduced within 16-24 hours. Along with platelet count also increased nearly double the quantity.

Moreover it is bitten and transmitted by the mosquitos there is a very much easier chance to spared in their own family member and there surrounding members. So if there the disease dengue is suspected we advise to take Balaguduchyadi Q for the every person of their surroundings. They are not getting any symptoms of dengue. Someone getting feverish, fatigue etc symptoms it not aggravates. 

Conclusion:-

Dengue is a very dangerous disease, manifestation of disease taking place very quickly and rapidly more over depletion of the platelet count taking place very rapidly. There is no proper medicine and vaccination in other system of medicine. By the clinical experience with different patients of Dengue, we observed that BalaguduchyadiKashaya (The Combination of Bala, Guduchi, Yastimadhu, Chandana, Usheera, Musta, Lavanga, Trikatu) as an Anubhutha Yoga with honey is very much effective in the treatment for Dengue Fever. Moreover it is bitten and transmitted by the mosquitos there is a very much easier chance to spared in their own family member and there surrounding members. So if there the disease dengue is suspected we advise to take Balaguduchyadi Q for the every person of their surroundings.

So, every physician must try to understand the condition, manifestation of the dengue fever and prevention the further complication of the Dengue&eradicates the disease based on the evidence.

Migraine Headache – Ardhavabhedaka

Migraine Headache is typically affect one side of the Head & Pulsating in Nature. Cardinal symptoms of Migraine Headache is difficult to see light, Ear loud sound & smell perception, Severity of Headache will affect upto 2 hours to 72 hours or Sometimes it will lost after Vomiting.

Pain is generally made worse by Physical Activity. Typically a short period of Visual Disturbance which signals that the migraine headache will occur soon, some people affects migraine Headache with aura .

Migraines are caused due to a mixture of environmental & genetic factors also psychological conditions like Depression, Anxiety & Bipolar etc, Changing hormone levels may play a major role of migraine, underlying mechanisms are not fully known. It believed to involve Nerves & Blood vessels of the Brain.  Before puberty Migraine affects in Boys than Girls. After puberty Migraine affects in women than men. It most often starts at puberty & is worst during middle aged women due menstrual cycle and hormonal imbalance. Migraine usually decreases during pregnancy.

Pathophysiology:-

Migraines are believed to be a Neurovascular Disorder, with evidence supporting its mechanisms starting within the brain & then spreading to the blood vessels. Some researchers believe neuronal mechanisms play a greater role, while others believe blood vessels play the key role. Others believe both are likely important. One theory is related to increased excitability of the cerebral cortex & abnormal control of pain neurons in the trigeminal nucleus of the brainstem. High levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin, also known as 5-hydroxytryptamine, are believed to be involved.

Diagnosis:-

The diagnosis of a migraine is based on signs & symptoms. Neuro-imaging tests are not necessary to diagnose migraine.

Ayurvedic Management:-

            According our Acharya explained about Ardvabhedaka. In that we can see the involvement of Pitta in Shanka Bru Lalata area.

Treatment:-

·         Kalyana Kshara, 3 pinches (3 handle tip of tea spoon) keep in a mouth leave it for 2-3 minutes then drink Luke worm water.

·         Kamaduda Rasa, 2-0-2 after food.

·         Rasnadi Churna, Mix with Hot Water or Tamarind Juice or Alovera Juice then Apply on Affected area. (External Application).

DISSCUSSION:-

·         We can cure migraine headache successfully with these 3 medication. Need to advice upto 3 to 6 months according to condition. With these medication there is a less chance of reoccurrence.

·         In case of long standing (since 6 to 30 years), Sever migraine & in pitta predomination or Amla pitta involved  need to go for virechana with indukanta Ghrutha or panchathikta Ghrutha snehapana.  Then followup same medication. Other than virechana No need to go for any Panchakarma like nasya, shirodhara etc.

·         In case of migrean head ache with aura need to go for Massage for neck also affected area with Vedanahara Taila followed by churna panda sweda or Valuka sweda with Sand

Case study with clinical experience:-

Case 1:-

Patient name Raadamma, Jagalur, aged 38 years complaining of repeated left sided head ach, pulsataile in nature, unable to see light, ear sound while headache feeling site in dark room, come down after vomiting, severity up to 3 days repeated with in 10days. since 3 years.  She undergone allopathic treatment but not relived.  This condition is diagnosed as Migraine Headache.

Treatment given:-

course- 1

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         Kamaduda rasa 2-0-2 after food.

·          Rasnadi churna mix with alovera juice (external application)

Corse:- 2

After 21 days Headache repeated only one time for 4hours intensity of less.

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         Kamaduda rasa 2-0-2 after food.

·         Rasnadi churna mix with alovera juice (external application) if headache comes.

Corse:-3

            After 21 days there is no head ache.

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         sukha virechana churna 1 tea spoon with luck warm water before water

Advice :-

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tea spoon keep in a mouth leave it for 2-3 minutes drink luke worm water.  For 3 months.

Result:-  Migraine headache didn’t reaccord.

Case 2:-

Patient name Uma, bangaluru, aged 52 years complaining of Headache once in right some time left side, pulsatile end of eyebrows, more severe, some times daily, since 5 years. Undergone allopathic treatment but not relived.  This condition is diagnosed as Cluster Migraine Headache.

Treatment:-

corse- 1

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         Kamaduda rasa 2-0-2 after food

·         Rasnadi churna mix with tamarind juice (external application)

Corse:- 2

After 21 days intensity and severity of Headache is less.

Result:-

Case 3:-

Patient name Suresh, Jagalur, aged 48 years complaining of right sided head ache, unable to see light, ear sound while headache. Severity up to 12 hours repeated with in 15days once, since 2 years, sever complaining of gastritis. He undergone allopathic treatment but not relived.  This condition is diagnosed as Migraine Headache.

Treatment:-

corse- 1

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         sukha virechana churna 1 tea spoon with luck warm water before water

·         Rasnadi churna mix with alovera juice (external application)

Patient name Sudeep, bengaluru, aged 42 years complaining left sided head ache, pulsataile end of the eye brow, unable to see light, ear sound while headache feeling site in dark room, severity up to 2-3days repeated at more tension & worries, since 6 years.  This condition is diagnosed as Migraine Headache.

Treatment:-

Patient name manju, Jagalur, aged 16 years complaining of left sided head ache, difficult to see light, ear sound. Severity up to 12 hours repeated at excessive concentration after long reading, since 1 years. This condition is diagnosed as Migraine Headache.

Treatment:-

corse- 1

·         Anarsha kshara 1/8th tsf keep in mouth leave for 2-3 min drink luke worm water.

·         Kamaduda rasa 2-0-2 after food

·         Rasnadi churna mix with hot water (external application)

Corse:- 2

After 21 days there is no headache.

Advice :-

Conclusion:-

       Migraine Headache is an intolerable, most worsen, most burning problem in the present era. Severity of the headache some time may induce suicide attempt. So management of migraine Headache is most important. Through Ayurvedic medication we can eradicate & cure migraine Headache completely with in short period of time.

        So, every physician must try to understand the clinical condition of migraine Headache prevent the further complications based on evidence.
